But since there\u2019s no telling when cinemas, which have been closed since March, will be able to reopen, Lionsgate is debuting \u201cAntebellum\u201d on premium video-on-demand services on Sept. 18. However, \u201cAntebellum\u201d isn\u2019t entirely eschewing the big screen. It will be released in some international movie theaters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the theatrical experience will always be the heart of our business, we are thrilled that we are able to seize the opportunity to match Gerard and Chris\u2019s urgent and im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>te film with a release strategy befitting this moment of extraordinary change,\u201d said Lionsgate chairman Joe Drake. \u201cGerard and Chris are storytellers whose work beats with authenticity \u2014 not only will this film entertain and thrill audiences worldwide, but spark a discussion about our current world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAntebellum\u201d is hardly the first film to pivot its release strategy amid the pandemic, and it likely won\u2019t be the last. Earlier this week, Disney announced that \u201cMulan\u201d was skipping U.S. theaters and instead debuting on Disney Plus for a premium price. Other <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a>, such as \u201cBill &#038; Ted Face the Music\u201d with Keanu Reeves, Andy Samberg\u2019s romantic comedy \u201cPalm Springs\u201d and the next \u201cSpongeBob\u201d sequel, have moved to streaming services or digital rental platforms.<\/p>\n<p>In \u201cAntebellum,\u201d Mon\u00e1e portrays a successful author who finds herself tr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed during the American Slavery period and must find a way to escape from the horrifying reality. The cast also includes Eric Lange, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons and Gabourey Sidibe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we designed \u2018Antebellum\u2019 to be consumed as a communal experience in the theater, we are thrilled by the unique opportunity we have to pivot to a different kind of communal moment in our culture,\u201d Bush and Renz said in a statement. \u201cAs we face the realities of systemic racism in our country, which have crescendoed to this current inflection point in 2020, we understand how imperative it is to bring \u2018Antebellum\u2019 to the broadest audience possible, while also prioritizing health and safety.
