Sure enough, she\u2019s now taking her case to the higher court in an effort to overturn the massive judgment.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/radaronline.com\/p\/cardi-b-blogger-tasha-k-appeal-4-million\/\"><em>Radar Online,<\/em><\/a> Tasha K\u2019s legal team formally filed a notice of appeal on March 17, roughly one month after a jury found her liable for damaging comments she made about the Grammy Award-winning rapper. The move is hardly surprising considering Tasha K made it clear she doesn\u2019t have the money while speaking to<em> Social Society<\/em>\u2018s Kendra G.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI ain\u2019t got it,\u201d she said matter-of-factly. \u201cListen, I ain\u2019t got it. I ain\u2019t got it. Don\u2019t ask me for the money. I ain\u2019t got it\u2026But listen, we have business and things in place that takes care of things like this. Now, of course, the appellate court and the supreme court is in process right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cardi B replied via Twitter last month, \u201cThink is a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> but trust imma come for everything \u2026. BBHMM [Bitch Better Have My Money].\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Think is a game but trust imma come for everything \u2026..BBHMM<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Cardi B (@iamcardib) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iamcardib\/status\/1495938652060504075?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 22, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Cardi B was initially\u00a0awarded $1.25 million\u00a0in her libel suit against Tasha K but that number was increased to over $4 million. As reported by\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2022\/01\/25\/cardi-b-thanks-jury-media-lawyers-tasha-k-libel-case-ends\/\"><em>TMZ,<\/em><\/a>\u00a0a Georgia judge granted Cardi B another $1.5 million in punitive damages and an additional $1.3 million in attorney fees.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Invasion of Privacy<\/em> artist\u2019s libel lawsuit has been ongoing since 2019 when the 28-year-old Bronx native filed a $75,000 claim. Cardi was upset Tasha K made several false statements about her, including accusing her of having herpes, using a beer bottle as a sex toy when she was an exotic dancer, working as a prostitute and abusing cocaine.<\/p>\n<p>Consequently, the jury found Tasha K guilty of \u201cdefamation of character, invasion of privacy through portrayal in a false light and intentional infliction of emotional distress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As she told the jury,\u00a0\u201cI felt extremely suicidal. I felt defeated and depressed and I didn\u2019t want to sleep with my husband\u2026 Only an evil person could do that shit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tasha K reportedly admitted she published lies about Cardi B because it was beneficial to her brand. She responded to the jury\u2019s decision with a Twitter post that read, \u201cMy Husband, Attorney\u2019s, &amp; I fought really hard. I want to thank them for their long hours and sleepless nights. Winos it\u2019s only up from here. See y\u2019all in a few days.
