The new trailer showcases many of the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/anime-manga\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"6\" title=\"Anime || Manga\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">anime<\/a> film\u2019s characters and a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> outline of the story.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This will be the first film in an <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">upcoming trilogy<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> that will begin screening in Japanese theaters on May 20, 2022. Part two will follow on July 8, 2022 and part three on September 1, 2022. The franchise is most well-known for featuring a large cast of male seiyuu.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The new film trilogy is based on the 2016 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> anime <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>. A second season of the anime aired in 2018, with Crunchyroll and Funimation licensing both for North America. A compilation film premiered in theaters on December 1, 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The anime itself is based on a free-to-play collectible card online <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> developed by Nitroplus and DMM Games. It also inspired a separate anime adaptation in 2017 titled <em>Katsugeki\/Touken Ranbu<\/em>, which had <\/span><b>Ufotable<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> handle animation production.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\">Funimation describes the series as:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the year 2205, the past is threatened by the historical revisionists who seek to change it.
