Martha Blackburn, \u201cit was an amazing moment, and a terrible one for Jackson,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/democrats-judge-jackson-and-the-woman-problem\">declares The Washington Examiner\u2019s Byron York<\/a>. \u201cYou have to be a biologist to know what a woman is? Who would say that? Perhaps Jackson could see, in the seconds she had to consider the question, that the whole topic was a minefield for a nominee backed by the progressive legal community.\u201d Though Jackson\u2019s hearings are over, \u201cthe exchange will resonate.\u201d Wokeism has become a big issue for voters, \u201cand the fact that President Joe Biden\u2019s nominee would not answer Blackburn\u2019s straightforward questions will be difficult for Democrats to defend in this year\u2019s midterm elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Media_watch_Why_Hunter_Laptop_Stories_Matter\"><\/span>Media watch: Why Hunter Laptop Stories Matter<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe real Hunter Biden laptop scandal is not the laptop itself,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spiked-online.com\/2022\/03\/23\/why-hunter-bidens-laptop-really-matters\/\">writes Brendan O\u2019Neill at Spiked<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s the fact that America\u2019s media elites studiously ignored the whole damn thing and even flat-out censored it,\u201d to the point that \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a>-media oligarchs even prevented people from sharing\u201d The Post\u2019s stories about it. It adds up to an \u201cextraordinary moment\u201d: A \u201cfree-thinking daily <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>paper published a fascinating report on . . . the then vice-president\u2019s son\u201d and was \u201cshamed, blocked and defamed\u201d for doing so \u2014 \u201ca terrifying assault on media freedom, the right to dissent and truth itself.\u201d And while \u201cHunter\u2019s laptop is an embarrassment\u201d and \u201craises questions that must be answered,\u201d \u201cthe ruthless war on the laptop story . . . should be seen as a very loud warning sign.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Albany_beat_Cuomos_Creepy_COVID_Nostalgia\"><\/span>Albany beat: Cuomo\u2019s Creepy COVID Nostalgia<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cIn his effort to engineer a political comeback,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commentary.org\/noah-rothman\/andrew-cuomos-macabre-pandemic-nostalgia\/\">notes Noah Rothman at Commentary<\/a>, ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo \u201cis reveling in what was for most of us the purest misery\u201d \u2014 tweeting \u201ca screengrab from one of [his] daily mid-pandemic press briefings.\u201d Why would Cuomo \u201crelive the bleakest days of the pandemic?\u201d Certainly \u201cnot because of his dubious record managing COVID-19.\u201d Rather, amid pandemic trauma \u201chis core supporters formed an unbreakable emotional attachment\u201d to him. Only \u201cpersonal gratification\u201d can explain his \u201cotherwise inexplicable dredging up of his disastrous final year in office.\u201d He\u2019s \u201cdwelling on what for him must have been one of the best times of his life\u201d; that it was \u201cthe very worst of times for the rest of us\u201d has \u201cescaped him.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Libertarian_Bidenites_Aim_To_Hike_Prices_More\"><\/span>Libertarian: Bidenites Aim To Hike Prices More<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Despite inflation at a 40-year high, Team Biden is pushing to hike wages for federal contractors, undoing a Reagan-era policy meant to curb price increases, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2022\/03\/23\/the-biden-administration-is-ignoring-how-its-policies-will-worsen-inflation-again\/\">warns Reason\u2019s Eric Boehm<\/a>. The change would restore the \u201c30% rule,\u201d which based federal contractor rates \u201con the highest wages\u201d paid to at least 30% of workers in a given area. Labor scr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed the rule in 1982 after a federal report found it fueled inflation and bloated construction costs. Restoring it now would spur prices to shoot up even further and limit the number of infrastructure projects that can get done. Yet Team Biden dismisses such concerns. Of course, this wouldn\u2019t be the first time it \u201cignored warnings about possible inflation in order to accomplish political objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Foreign_desk_China_Owes_Its_Rise_to_the_West\"><\/span>Foreign desk: China Owes Its Rise to the West<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cIn the last decades, China has lifted nearly 800 million people from poverty,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/international\/599360-the-irony-of-chinas-rise-its-fueled-by-capitalism?rl=1\">Steve Kelman points out at the Hill<\/a> \u2014 not thanks to communism but to capitalism.
