It depends on the political will of the United States,\u201d\u00a0\u200bKamal \u200bKharrazi\u200b, a senior adviser to Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said at the conference.\u200b\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Following his election, President Biden said he wanted to explore rejoining the accord that former President Donald Trump withdrew from in 2018.\u00a0\u200b<\/p>\n<p>The deal, which would lift crippling economic sanctions against Tehran in exchange for curbing its nuclear program, has \u200bhit a number of stumbling blocks during negotiations in Vienna.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" enough to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.<\/p>\n<p>They also warn that easing the sanctions would\u00a0provide\u00a0Iran with an influx of billions of dollars in revenue the\u00a0ruling mullahs would\u00a0use to back hostile\u00a0militant\u00a0groups in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Since Trump backed out of the deal, Tehran has claimed the US violated the tenets of the accord and has ramped up its nuclear program by breaching the limits on enriching uranium and employing advanced centrifuges.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" THEKKAYIL<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But the talks have hit a snag on Iran\u2019s insistence that its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps be removed from foreign terrorist organization designation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIRGC is a national army and a national army being listed as a terrorist group certainly is not acceptable,\u201d Kharrazi said.<\/p>\n<p>Tehran also wants assurances the world powers signing on to the 2015 accord and has been heavily sanctioned over its invasion of Ukraine, wanted guarantees that if the deal is restored the sanctions will not affect trade with Iran.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Recently, however, the Kremlin has walked back threats it would scuttle a renewed agreement unless its demands were met.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Amid the recent developments, Secretary of State Antony Blinken <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>ed to Jerusalem on Sunday to dampen fears that Iran could emerge a nuclear\u00a0power if an accord is reached.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure eye,\u201d Blinken\u00a0\u200bsaid at\u00a0a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> conference with Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid. \u201cWe are both committed, both determined that Iran will never acquire a nuclear weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blinken echoed the administration\u2019s belief that binding Iran to an agreement \u201cis the best way to put Iran\u2019s program back in the box it was in.\u201d\u200b<\/p>\n<p>He said the US commitment to Iran not acquiring a nuclear weapon is \u201cunwavering,\u201d and vowed to cooperate with Israel to counter Iran\u2019s \u201caggressive behavior\u201d in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>But Lapid said Israel, which is not a party to the agreement, retains the right to take military action against Iran if it is deemed necessary.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIsrael and the United States will continue to work together to prevent a nuclear Iran. At the same time, Israel will do anything we believe is needed to stop the Iranian nuclear program. Anything,\u201d Lapid said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom our point of view the Iranian threat is not theoretical. The Iranians want to destroy Israel.
