Jada Pinkett Smith Joke Was Reportedly NOT Pre-Vetted By Oscars Team!<br \/>\n&#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\" class=\"text\">\nDid <strong>Chris Rock<\/strong> purposefully poke the bear?<\/p>\n<p>As the world gr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>les with the shocking turn of events at Sunday night\u2019s <strong>Oscars<\/strong> \u2013 you know, the moment <strong>Will Smith<\/strong> stormed the stage to slap the stand-up co<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>n following an insensitive joke about<strong> Jada Pinkett Smith<\/strong>\u2019s shaved head \u2014 we are learning more details about how that situation came to be.<\/p>\n<p>In a juicy new report from <em>Us Weekly<\/em>, it turns out that the <em>Everybody Hates Chris<\/em> alum went rogue before Will did!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Diddy Claims Chris &amp; Will Have Already Settled Their Feud After Oscars Slap??<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to a source, Chris\u2019 jab at Jada was a spur-of-the-moment decision and wasn\u2019t pre-vetted by the production team. When the presenter practiced his part of the ceremony in a rehearsal, he reportedly neglected to include the<em> G.I. Jane<\/em> reference. The insider also noted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWill was not in attendance for [the] rehearsal.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That\u2019s not unusual \u2014 Will wasn\u2019t a presenter after all. But why didn\u2019t Chris verify his comment with the producers beforehand?! Did he know his joke might be off-limits? Or was it something he thought of once the show had already started? It\u2019s hard to know, but either way the Oscars\u2019 producers are clearly trying to avoid blame for that drama.<\/p>\n<p>Chris, on the other hand, seems to be leaning into it. As Perezcious readers know, the <em>Red Table Talk<\/em> co-host has been open about her struggle with hair loss, and she was visibly upset with the joke the moment the words left the actor\u2019s lips. Most viewers seemed to think this health condition was the reason for Will\u2019s violent outburst\u2026 but could there be more at play here?<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, yes. Chris and Will\u2019s history goes way back \u2014 and it hasn\u2019t always been pleasant, especially when it comes to Jada. Specifically, a source for <em>People<\/em> pointed out that this feud likely began back in 2016 when Rock was hosting the Oscars. It was the same year as the \u201cOscars So White\u201d protests, which Jada was participating in by not attending the show. The confidant explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhen Chris hosted the Oscars in 2016, Jada was boycotting because of \u2018Oscars So White.\u2019 In his monologue, he made fun of her, saying she can\u2019t boycott something she wasn\u2019t invited to. Will was still mad about that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Oh, dang!\u00a0 So this feud has just been festering for six years??<\/p>\n<p>If you need a refresher, during Rock\u2019s monologue, the 57-year-old teased:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cJada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting <strong>Rihanna<\/strong>\u2018s panties. I wasn\u2019t invited.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Yeesh<\/em>. Returning to his seat, he then shouted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cKeep my wife\u2019s name out your f**king mouth!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A message the <em>Madagascar<\/em> alum didn\u2019t get in 2016, we suppose! Visibly rattled by the assault, Chris seemed remorseful while trying to get Will to cool off, responding:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019m going to, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Innerestingly, later in the show while accepting his Best Actor award, Will acknowledged how difficult it can be to live in the public eye, saying tearfully:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI know to do what we do you gotta be able to take abuse; you gotta be able to have people talk crazy about you. In this business, you gotta be able to have people disrespecting you, and you gotta smile and pretend like that\u2019s okay.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The <em>G.I. Jane<\/em> joke was his last straw, it seems\u2026<\/p>\n<p>While he apologized to the<strong> Academy of Motion Picture Arts and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Science<\/a>s<\/strong> and his fellow nominees, Chris was notably left off the list. Perhaps they should both be owning up to their mistakes now? The Academy is definitely looking into it.
