She detailed her cranial catastrophe in a harrowing video with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@natasha_gunther\/video\/7058725751956213038?is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1\">over 7 million views on TikTok<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSurgeons told me I would have been dead within a week if I hadn\u2019t gone to the hospital when I did,\u201d Natasha Gunther, 25, told <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> Dog <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> of the harrowing ordeal. <\/p>\n<p>A before-and-after video, captioned \u201cSometimes all you can do is laugh right?,\u201d shows the long-haired karate enthusiast sitting in a car before surgery. She specifically suffered from sinusitis, a nasal ailment that occurs when there\u2019s \u201cirritation in your sinuses, which make up the lining around the air spaces between bones that surround your nose,\u201d<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/health.clevelandclinic.org\/sinus-infections-that-dont-quit-when-you-should-worry\/#:~:text=Also%20in%20rare%20cases%2C%20sinus,from%20sinusitis%2C%E2%80%9D%20he%20says.\"> according to the Cleveland Clinic.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, neither she nor the doctor thought it was serious at the time, and they prescribed her a course of antibiotics \u2014 the standard treatment for the condition. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs most people who get sinus infections will know, you don\u2019t think anything of them, and neither did my usual doctor,\u201d Gunther said of the seemingly innocuous blockage. \u201cI teach martial arts to kids, so I\u2019m used to getting colds.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"769\" doctors remove a part of the skull to examine the brain \u2014 revealed a massive buildup of strep and staph infections, which had moved her brain nearly a half-inch to the right. <\/p>\n<p>In order to relieve the pressure, doctors performed a more severe craniectomy later that month, in which they removed <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roximately half of Gunther\u2019s skull.<\/p>\n<figure
