The <em>Jane The Virgin<\/em> alum will star in the ABC comedy pilot <em>Not Dead Yet<\/em>, the network announced March 29.<\/p>\n<p>The single-camera pilot will feature Rodriguez as the \u201cself-described disaster\u201d Nell Stevens, who is \u201cbroke, newly single, and feeling old,\u201d as she \u201cworks to restart the life and career she left behind 10 years ago,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/03\/gina-rodriguez-abc-comedy-pilot-not-dead-yet-1234990211\/\"><em>Deadline<\/em><\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMoving back home to Pasadena \u2014 a world where everyone seems to have a better life than she does (kids, careers, happy marriages, etc.) Nell can only afford to share an apartment with a stranger who monitors how much electricity she uses and pesters her about her recycling habits (which lately include a lot of empty White Claws),\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion says. \u201cA once successful journalist, Nell put her career on hold to help her fianc\u00e9 get his restaurant off the ground. Following their break up, she takes the only job she can get \u2014 writing obituaries \u2014 which at first seems like a step backwards but ultimately may be exactly what she needs to move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pilot is based on Alexandra Potter\u2019s <em>Confessions of a Forty-Something F**k Up<\/em>, published in 2020, and hails from <em>The Real O\u2019Neals <\/em>creators Casey Johnson and David Windsor, McG, and 20th Television.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson and Windsor will write and executive produce <em>Not Dead Yet<\/em>. McG (<em>Supernatural<\/em>, <em>Chuck<\/em>, <em>The O.C.<\/em>) , Mary Viola (<em>Shadowhunters<\/em>, <em>Turner &amp; Hooch<\/em>), and Corey Marsh (<em>Tall Girl 2<\/em>) will also executive produce via Wonderland Sound and Vision.<\/p>\n<p>Over on streaming, Rodriguez is also set to star in <em>Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown <\/em>for Apple TV+ and Netflix\u2019s <em>Lost Ollie. <\/em>The Golden Globe winner also voices the titular character in Netflix\u2019s <em>Carmen Sandiego<\/em>.
