Since Jan. 1, LTV has increased from 1.35 billion ADA per day to 69 billion ADA (worth $81.4 billion) changing hands on Cardano on Mar. 28.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a 51-fold increase in about three months and marks one of the highest volume levels since mid-2018, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/app.intotheblock.com\/coin\/ADA\/deep-dive?group=all&amp;chart=all\">according<\/a> to IntoTheBlock. In a Mar. 29 tweet, the firm said that such high volume indicates \u201cincreasing institutional demand.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Cardano?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Cardano<\/a> is experiencing increasing institutional demand<\/p>\n<p>The volume of on-chain transactions &gt;$100k has increased by 50x just in 2022<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, a total of 69.09b <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ADA&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ADA<\/a> were moved in these large transactions, representing 99% of the total on-chain volume<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/8ME8STvRSF\">https:\/\/t.co\/8ME8STvRSF<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aqH7hYIPiV\">pic.twitter.com\/aqH7hYIPiV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 IntoTheBlock (@intotheblock) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intotheblock\/status\/1508747096517754884?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 29, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nWhile other metrics such as average transaction size and volatility remain relatively stagnant according to the data analytics firm, total addresses have been increasing since the start of 2022. The year began with about 3.4 million addresses, which has now grown to 5 million. While only seven D<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>s appear on DeFi Llama currently, co-founder Charles Hoskinson said many more are expected following due to a hard fork expected mid year. <\/p>\n<p>Total value locked (TVL) is currently at $303 <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chain\/Cardano\">million<\/a> according to DeFi app tracker DeFiLlama, just shy of the $326 million all-time high set on Mar. 24.<\/p>\n<p>Hoskinson gave a rousing <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8nJUj8XCXjQ\">keynote<\/a> speech at Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai on Monday in which he spoke of the need for decentralization and the difficulties in coordination it entails. He said that \u201cwe are entering a new era,\u201d with Web3 but the problem is that \u201cunlike with Web2, there\u2019s no leader\u201d to make decisions for the industry.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf we\u2019re truly decentralized, we have to somehow come together and figure this out. We have to write some sort of constitution for these things; we have to decide \u2018What is the Bill of Rights for the use of cryptocurrency and blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>?\u2019\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em>Related: ETF provider WisdomTree launches Solana, Cardano, Polkadot ETPs<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are two paths before us \u2014 one, we keep our integrity and we look to decentralization, find these things, understand these things,\u201d he said. \u201cOr, two, we ignore it.
