Here\u2019s how.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Remap_%E2%80%9CPaste_And_Match_Style%E2%80%9D_to_CommandV\"><\/span>How to Remap \u201cPaste And Match Style\u201d to Command+V<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to always paste while matching the style of the document you\u2019re pasting into (which means not carrying over fonts or styles from other documents), then you can assign the \u201cPaste and Match Style\u201d menu item to the Command+V keyboard shortcut.<\/p>\n<p>To do so, first open System Preferences by clicking the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le logo in the upper-left corner of your screen. Make sure that \u201cAll Applications\u201d is selected in the drop-down menu. Next, click the \u201cMenu Title\u201d text box and type \u201cPaste and Match Style\u201d perfectly. The case of each letter matters, since it must match the menu item exactly to work.<\/p>\n<p>Next, click the \u201cKeyboard Shortcut\u201d box and press Command+V on your keyboard. Make sure it\u2019s set to \u201cAll Applications,\u201d then enter \u201cPaste\u201d in the \u201cMenu Title\u201d box. When you want to paste and match style in any app that supports it, press Command+V on your keyboard.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Shortcut_Troubleshooting\"><\/span>Shortcut Troubleshooting<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re having trouble with the shortcuts you just created, open System Preferences and revisit Keyboard &gt; Shortcuts &gt; App Shortcuts and make sure there are no typos in \u201cPaste and Match Style\u201d and \u201cPaste.\u201d When creating a shortcut like this, you must use the exact name of an existing menu bar item\u2014including any capitalization, spaces, or punctuation.<\/p>\n<p>Also, some applications don\u2019t include \u201cPaste and Match Style\u201d in their menus. If that\u2019s the case, your new Command+V shortcut won\u2019t work in those apps. A way around that is to delete the two \u201cAll Applications\u201d shortcuts you created above and make custom \u201cPaste and Match Style\u201d and \u201cPaste\u201d shortcuts for each application that supports it, such as Microsoft Word, Safari, and Pages.
