2019.<\/p>\n<p>Though the 2s10s spread was no longer inverted in morning trading, it toggled back and forth between flattening and steepening, hovering around 5 basis points.<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_yields_doing\"><\/span>What are yields doing?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<ul class=\"articleList\">\n<li>\n      The yield on the 10-year Treasury note<br \/>\n        TMUBMUSD10Y,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.000%\" channel=\"\" class=\"\">2.410%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       was at 2.424%, up from 2.399% at 3 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n      The 2-year Treasury yield<br \/>\n        TMUBMUSD02Y,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.000%\" channel=\"\" class=\"\">2.362%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       stood at 2.363%, up from 2.349% Tuesday afternoon, which was its highest 3 p.m. level since April 23, 2019, according to Dow Jones Market Data.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n      The 30-year Treasury bond yield<br \/>\n        TMUBMUSD30Y,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.000%\" channel=\"\" class=\"\">2.528%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       rose to 2.543% from 2.522% late Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  <strong>Read:<\/strong> A key part of the Treasury yield curve has finally inverted, driving the market?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p> The inversion of the 2-year\/10-year maturities in the yield curve can ring alarm bells given its record for preceding recessions, albeit with a lag. An inversion of the curve has preceded every recession since at least 1978, with just one false positive, according to an analysis by Baird. But the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>n length of time between an inversion and the onset of recession has been 18 months, according to Invesco\u2019s Brian Levitt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>See:<\/strong> Stock-market investors brush off yield curve\u2019s recession warning \u2014 for now. Here\u2019s why.<\/p>\n<p>In U.S. data, private payrolls rose by 455,000 in March, according to\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/adpemploymentreport.com\/\" class=\"icon none\">the ADP National Employment Report\u00a0<\/a>released Wednesday, and U.S. fourth-quarter gross domestic product was revised to 6.9% from 7% previously. <\/p>\n<p>The Labor Department\u2019s official take on March jobs is set for release Friday.
