With the number of chains supported by Aave continuing to increase, there is a strong possibility that this number will rise further in the future. <\/p>\n<p>As a result of new users and the addition of support for new chains, the total value locked (TVL) on the protocol is once again on the rise and currently sits at $13.99 billion, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/protocol\/aave\">according<\/a> to data from DeFi Llama. <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-03\/787e4016-15a4-4206-99da-7ac7fc6cfa46.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Total value locked on Aave.
