by aphasia, alarmed movie staffers two years ago when he misfired a gun loaded with a blank \u2014 and last year perplexingly asked what he was doing on a film set, according to a report.<\/p>\n<p>The 67-year-old \u201cDie Hard\u201d star, whose family announced Wednesday he had received the brain disorder diagnosis, had been exhibiting signs of decline on set in recent years, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/movies\/story\/2022-03-30\/bruce-willis-aphasia-memory-loss-cognitive-disorder\">nearly two dozen sources concerned about his well-being told the Los Angeles Times.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The \u201cPulp Fiction\u201d star \u2014 who was often paid $2 million for two days of work \u2014 struggled with an inability to remember his lines and was fed his words through an earpiece known in the industry as an \u201cearwig,\u201d several sources told the paper.<\/p>\n<p>A body double was used in most action scenes, outlet, which cited two people familiar with the incident.<\/p>\n<p>No one was hurt and the movie\u2019s producer disputed that the incident occurred, but the actors and crew members were alarmed by the alleged discharge from the firearm, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Another gun incident occurred on the set of \u201cHard Kill\u201d in 2020, when actress Lala Kent, playing Willis\u2019 Bruce will always be a part of our family,\u201d Emmett told the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Burns, who directed Willis in last year\u2019s action thriller \u201cOut of Death,\u201d sent the movie\u2019s screenwriter an alarming email in June 2020, writing, \u201cIt looks like we need to knock down Bruce\u2019s page count by about 5 pages,\u201d\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/movies\/story\/2022-03-30\/bruce-willis-aphasia-memory-loss-cognitive-disorder\">the Los Angeles Times reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure until the actor showed up on set in the film, which was among 22 movies the actor churned out in four years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter the first day of working with Bruce, I could see it firsthand and I realized that there was a bigger issue at stake here and why I had been asked to shorten his lines,\u201d Burns told the LA Times.<\/p>\n<p>The director said he was forced to cut all of Willis\u2019
