One source said investigators are eyeing the possibility that occupants of both vehicles were firing at each other.<\/p>\n<p>The boy, who was seated in the front passenger seat, was struck in the chest and head and transported to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/03\/Child_Shot_Car_006.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"The victim was shot and killed in the Toyota sedan on the left. A bullet hole can be seen in the rear window.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Robert Mecea<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI saw the victim in the car, he wasn\u2019t moving,\u201d a witness, who identified herself only as Kinmiko, told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>The 20-year-old woman, who was in the drivers seat, was struck in the right cheek and the upper left leg. But as long as we have guns and a revolving door system, we\u2019re going to continue to come to crime scenes like this. I have lived in Brooklyn all my life and I thought we were past this sort of thing. But it\u2019s d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu. There\u2019s constant fear. The evil has come back to the city,\u201d said White.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A 45-year-old woman, who would only give her name as Renee, said she was devastated by the boy\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery time you hear shots in this neighborhood you hope and pray that this won\u2019t be the one. Well, this time it was the one. I\u2019m in mourning over that poor child. This is what hurts the most, when it\u2019s just a baby who never did anyone any harm.
