As the internet is evolving from Web2 into Web3, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/technology\/tech-news\/demand-for-web3-talent-surges-as-internet-moves-to-next-stage-11648404740394.html\">reports<\/a> show that the demand for talent within the Web3 space is rapidly increasing and there are lots of opportunities popping up within the industry.<\/p>\n<p>While statistics are very important, insights directly from the people who are witnessing the transformation of the industry are just as crucial.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bringing_%E2%80%9Cendless%E2%80%9D_opportunities_to_Indonesia\"><\/span>Bringing \u201cendless\u201d opportunities to Indonesia\u00a0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Joko Crypto, a masked crypto crusader from Indonesia, shared his insights about what Web3 is currently doing to his country. According to Joko, people are very excited about Web3 and that opportunities in the space are \u201calways lingering.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIn a country like Indonesia, [&#8230;], the excitement of Web3 job opportunities are always lingering. From being a play-to-earn \u2018freelancer\u2019 to becoming a paid admin for Telegram, the opportunities are endless.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The anonymous crypto evangelist also believes that the same thing is h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening globally. Meanwhile, Yoseph Soenggoro, a Web3 developer from Indonesia, agrees with the masked crusader. According to Soenggoro, \u201cit\u2019s definitely a $1 trillion opportunity for our generation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-04\/4cdfd59a-1f3c-4b78-b549-4e15d9d023a6.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Yoseph Soenggoro\u00a0 (left) sharing his perspectives. Source:\u00a0Joanna Alhambra<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The developer explains that currently, the most established projects in their local Web3 landscape are centralized exchanges. However, Soenggoro believes that over time, there are going to be more decentralized finance protocols that are going to be built in Indonesia and that this will bring many \u201cpotential jobs for people in Web3.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Indonesia\u2019s crypto industry in 2021: A kaleidoscope<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Changing_lives_in_Nigeria\"><\/span>Changing lives in Nigeria\u00a0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cCrypto changed my life,\u201d said Chike Okonkwo as he described his personal experience in Nigeria. He started his Web3 journey in 2016, and now, Okonkwo is working as an executive at a blockchain gaming project.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to Okonkwo, he tried to do a couple of things as a student to make money. However, crypto has been the most impactful and has given him many opportunities. \u201cI have not just only made money trading cryptocurrencies but also have worked with crypto companies,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-04\/cc629a21-92c4-48bc-b5a3-31ef2ee1b295.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Chike Okonkwo (far fight) with his teammates at Gamic Guild.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Okonkwo explained that the blockchain offers \u201ca lot of opportunities for us in Africa and the world globally.\u201d He believes that it enables people to build solutions that are able to have a significant impact by helping people solve problems.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI am introducing more and more people, young people, into this space because it can change their lives economically.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Apart from Okonkwo, Ukeme Okuku who is also from Nigeria, shared his thoughts on Web3 within their local communities. According to Okuku, while there are many active Africans in design and community management, the \u201cbiggest issue&#8221; now is awareness.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBecause of the crypto and blockchain, space is still a niche. There are very few people that know about it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Breaking_qualification_barriers_in_India\"><\/span>Breaking qualification barriers in India\u00a0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Speaking from an Indian perspective, a delegate from India that wanted to stay anonymous also shared his thoughts on what Web3 is doing within the country. According to him, there were barriers for people in India. He noted:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThey needed to study in a good school, go to a good university, and then apply for jobs. Without these good credentials, you couldn\u2019t apply to anything.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>However, the delegate stated that in Web3, it&#8217;s very easy for a person without a sparkling academic track record to get in. He believes that in Web3, \u201ca person only needs to have abilities.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The delegate explained that, within his country, there are many areas in which the people don&#8217;t get enough support. However, these restrictions are lessened when it comes to Web3 and this is because of the internet. &#8220;You have the internet, you have the power,&#8221; he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Changing_skeptics_minds_in_the_Philippines\"><\/span>Changing skeptics&#8217; minds in the Philippines\u00a0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A Web3 developer from the Philippines, Jene Dizon, believes that at the moment, there are plenty of opportunities for Filipinos in the Web3 industry. As a person who worked in crypto for more than five years, Dizon thinks that there\u2019s a huge demand for Web3 talent in the region. He noted:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere are lots of opportunities in Web3 for Filipinos. Adoption of Web3 is not just for first-world countries, but also for developing countries. Though, I believe it may take around 2-3 years before it gets fully integrated into the mainstream.\u201d\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Apart from this, Dizon pointed out the similarities between the beginning of the internet and the current start of Web3 within the country. \u201cWhen the internet started in our country, there were also a lot of skeptics. But now, everything is online,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-04\/3bd91aa6-349b-4723-8b10-c9e8d7d0689b.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Jene Dizon (left) with Brazilian celebrity Daniel Matsunaga.\u00a0<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI believe the same will happen to Web3 back home,\u201d said Dizon. He noted that, while there are still many skeptics, they are slowly changing their minds and are looking into the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>, and at the right time, it will be applied to all industries.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Making_its_way_to_Uruguay\"><\/span>Making its way to Uruguay\u00a0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Alexis Martinovic, a tech content creator from Uruguay also attended the conference to learn more about Web3 and expand his network. At the moment, Martinovic believes that in his country, Web3 adoption is just starting and that soon, people will be seeing Web3 projects in his country.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere are no local projects supporting Web3 at the moment. [&#8230;] But it&#8217;s I think that soon we will start seeing them. Of course, everybody in every country is going in that direction.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Martinovic also highlighted the low barriers to coming into Web3. \u201cIn order to just jump to Web3, you don&#8217;t need you don&#8217;t even need a bank account,\u201d he said.
