Some \u201cGooglers\u201d will be required to work in-person for more than three days each week, while others will be allowed to work remotely forever.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Google says the policy \u201cbalances the best of being together in person and being anywhere\u201d \u2014 but the company\u2019s former HR head, Laszlo Bock, doesn\u2019t think it will last.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bock <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/newsletters\/2022-04-01\/google-s-ex-hr-chief-says-hybrid-work-won-t-last\">told Bloomberg<\/a> that \u201cGooglers\u201d who come into the office less frequently will be at a disadvantage for promotions, pay bumps and desirable assignments.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He added that executives at Google and other large companies are itching to get employees to their desks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2019We\u2019ll get everyone back into the office eventually,\u2019\u201d Bock claimed one executive recently told him. \u201c\u2019I just don\u2019t want to pick that fight now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1021\" height=\"642\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/laszlo-bock.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21742159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/laszlo-bock.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1021w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/laszlo-bock.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=511 510w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1021px) 100vw, 1021px\"\/><figcaption>Former Google HR chief Laszlo Bock says hybrid work won\u2019t last. <\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Yale<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bock predicted hybrid work at Google would last three to five years before employees are back in the office full-time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Google did not im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely respond to a request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a sign Google is doubling down on office work, the company announced last year that it\u2019s buying a massive $2.1 billion campus in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan.
