Bag fees,\u201d the @SouthwestAir account\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SouthwestAir\/status\/1509915995791634438\">said<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKind of bad taste to make a Twitter joke when seemingly every flight today is delayed,\u201d Fox 61 meteorologist Ryan Breton\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RyanBretonWX\/status\/1510007445585805312\">replied<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/delays.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Delays\" class=\"wp-image-21758379\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/delays.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/delays.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/delays.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Flight tracker FlightAware showed over 1,000 delayed Southwest Flights on Saturday. <\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Others shared stories of lengthy customers service calls, double cancellations and exorbitant airfare.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Airline ticket prices have\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/economy\/airfare-skyrockets-as-cost-of-jet-fuel-takes-off\">risen<\/a>\u00a0due to increased <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> and already sky-high fuel costs have been driven further up by Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>KPRC 2 in Houston, Texas\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.click2houston.com\/news\/local\/2022\/04\/02\/southwest-airlines-says-planned-system-outage-affecting-flights-nationwide-including-houston-area-airports\/\">reported<\/a>\u00a0Saturday that the source of delays was a \u201cplanned system outage\u201d and that a spokesperson for Houston Airports told the station the airlines system was down for two hours, starting at 4 a.m. local time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>North Carolina\u2019s WNCN\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs17.com\/news\/local-news\/wake-county-news\/southwest-airlines-system-goes-down-nationwide-affecting-saturday-morning-flights-possibly-longer\/\">said<\/a>\u00a0the \u201cnationwide system failure\u201d had caused delays out of Raleigh-Durham International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Fox Business\u2019 Edward Lawrence was at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., and tweeted about the issue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpdate: Gate Agents saying that the @SouthwestAir system is back up.
