\n The New York City school district and all other districts across the state can reopen, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood news<\/a>. All schools can reopen,\u201d Cuomo said in a conference call with reporters Friday.<\/p>\n

Cuomo said the schools are eligible to reopen because all regions across the state have low coronavirus infection rates.<\/p>\n

But Cuomo cautioned that each school district must submit reopening plans that require app<\/a>roval from the state Health Department.<\/p>\n

He said the Health Department is reviewing the plans and noted that some are \u201cincomplete.\u201d Albany will inform school districts whether their plans pass muster later Friday or Monday.<\/p>\n

But he added general<\/a>ly, \u201cFor planning purposes, they can open.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mayor Bill de Blasio has proposed a hybrid plan under which students will have both remote learning and in-class instruction.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
