Highlights HERE!<br \/>\n&#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\" class=\"text\">\n<em>Saturday Night Live<\/em> came back from its hiatus with a bang (and a slap)!<\/p>\n<p>The sketch comedy show\u2019s latest episode saw co<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>n <strong>Jerrod Carmichael<\/strong> take the helm as host and r<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er <strong>Gunna<\/strong> serve as the musical guest over the weekend. And of course, <em>SNL<\/em> could not help but absolutely roast <strong>Will Smith<\/strong> for infamously slapping <strong>Chris Rock<\/strong> on the <strong>Oscars<\/strong> stage several times on the episode, from the cold open and opening monologue to the \u201cWeekend Update\u201d and a hilarious sketch.<\/p>\n<p>Kicking off the night, the show began with a <em>Fox and Friends<\/em> parody that included a call from <strong>James Austin Johnson<\/strong>\u2019s <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>, whom the co-hosts asked if he had seen the slap. And his answer? Well, he just kept on referring to Will as his 2005 romantic comedy <em>Hitch<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou know, I did see slap. I enjoyed slap. I was very impressed by Hitch. Quite an arm on Hitch. I always knew Hitch had an arm\u2026 It\u2019s But it\u2019s a sad night for Hitch too. That kind of behavior is not going to help Kevin James get a date with Allegra Cole, I\u2019ll tell you that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Yikes! And let\u2019s just say, he made it clear that he was sick and tired of the endless discourse that has popped up in its wake. Without ever mentioning Will, Chris, or the word \u201cslap,\u201d the 34-year-old actor said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019m not gonna talk about it \u2026 I kept talking about it, you can\u2019t make me talk about it. Do you want to talk about it? Aren\u2019t you sick of talking about it? This is going to really blow your minds. Can you believe that it\u2019s been six days? Six days! This happened a week ago,\u201d he explained. \u201cDoesn\u2019t it feel like it happened years ago? Like doesn\u2019t it feel like it happened when we were all in high school? Like it feels like it happened between Jamiroquai and 9\/11. A long, long time ago. It happened on Sunday. Sunday! During the \u201cWeekend Update\u201d segment, hosts <strong>Michael Che<\/strong> and<strong> Colin Jost<\/strong> did NOT hold back, completely tearing into the 53-year-old for smacking Chris. Colin, who is married to <strong>Scarlett Johansson<\/strong>, joked that Will set \u201ca terrible precedent for having to defend your wife at award shows.\u201d He also likened the viral moment to <strong>Janet Jackson<\/strong>\u2019s infamous wardrobe malfunction at the <strong>Super Bowl<\/strong>, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI think we should just acknowledge that that is one of the craziest things we will ever see in our lives. It\u2019s truly like the Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction, but if Janet\u2019s nipple slapped Timberlake.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, Michael had a lot of feelings on the matter, saying he was tired of \u201cpeople putting their own insecurities on our joke intentions\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cDuring his acceptance speech, Will Smith said, \u2018Love will make you do crazy things. You know what else makes you do crazy things? Crazy! But I understand where Will\u2019s coming from. I mean, you can\u2019t expect him to sit there and watch another man jump all over his wife\u2026 without signing an NDA. Can we stop pretending everybody knew Jada had alopecia? As much as we heard about Jada and Will\u2019s personal lives, you can\u2019t expect us to retain everything. It\u2019s like Kanye saying, \u2018Don\u2019t act like y\u2019all didn\u2019t know I had psoriasis.\u2019 Just selfishly as a comedian I\u2019m tired of people putting their insecurities on our joke intention.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Colin and Michael also brought on a guest to the \u201cWeekend Update\u201d to weigh in on the situation at one point, this time being <strong>Kenan Thompson<\/strong> as <strong>OJ Simpson<\/strong>. In the skit, Jerrod played a seat filler who managed to get a seat next to <strong>Chris Redd<\/strong>\u2018s Will at this year\u2019s Oscars. At first, he had been very excited to be near a big celeb like Will. However, Chris then joked about <strong>Jada Pinkett Smith<\/strong>\u2019s shaved head, and you know what happens next\u2026<\/p>\n<p>When Redd returns to his seat, he tries to make polite conversation with Jerrod all while yelling up at Chris to keep his wife\u2019s \u201cname out your f**king mouth\u201d over and over.
