The South Korean scare expert is working on a film with the working title \u201cKilling Old People Club,\u201d or \u201cK.O. Club,\u201d based on a novel penned by Umberto Eco, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/film\/global\/squid-game-hwang-dong-hyuk-killing-old-people-club-1235222839\/\">according to Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And if you thought it was horrific to watch people get shot dead by a giant animatronic doll in his wildly popular Netflix <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>, just wait.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be more violent than \u2018Squid Game,\u2019\u201d declared Dong-hyuk during a MIPTV event at the international television market in France recently. He reportedly has already developed a 25-page treatment for the movie, which he expects will be \u201canother controversial film.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The word \u201ccontroversial\u201d doesn\u2019t even begin to describe last year\u2019s deranged \u201cSquid Game,\u201d which followed cash-strapped characters competing in a brutal \u2014 and fatal for most \u2014 series of games in order to win desperately needed money.\u00a0The show ranked No. 1 in dozens of countries on the streamer, and fans of the drama labeled it \u201cso f \u2013 \u2013 ked up\u201d and declaring it to be filled with \u201cexcessive violence.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>But, of course, who could resist?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI covered my eyes during one of the initial scenes because it was so gruesome, but then I found myself not being able to look away,\u201d one Brooklynite told The Post last year. The series even reportedly spawned a real-life version back in Korea.<\/p>\n<p>His other planned project aside, a second season of \u201cSquid Game\u201d was confirmed in November by Dong-hyuk, although <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/squid-game-season-2-update-long-wait-netflix\/\">no timeline has been set<\/a> for production. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you leave us no choice!\u201d\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/tv\/news\/squid-game-season-2-netflix-1235108088\/\">he told the Associated Press last fall<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I will say there will indeed be a second season. It\u2019s in my head right now. I\u2019m in the planning process currently,\u201d he <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.elle.com\/uk\/life-and-culture\/culture\/a37879979\/squid-game-season-2-release-date-spoilers-cast-trailer-plot\/\">said in an interview<\/a>. He added that the first season\u2019s determined main character, Seong Gi-hun \u2014 played by Golden Globe nominee Lee Jung-jae \u2014 will return to the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will promise you this . . .
