Although Bay did explain that to him, the Will Smith people have seen at the Oscars is not the man he knows, Bay first made it crystal clear that Hollywood can sometimes become so lost in itself that nothing else seems to matter, which is wrong at this time. However, The Academy have made it clear that even with Smith\u2019s resignation, they will still be investigating the incident and may choose to take some form of action against him, although that would be is currently unclear.<br \/>\n<!-- Zone: character count repeatable. --><br \/>\nOver the last week, the \u201cmoment of madness\u201d from Smith has been repeated around the world in news coverage, as internet memes, and during interviews with other stars. Recently the subject even led to Mel Gibson cutting an interview short rather than being drawn into a discussion about whether he would have been treated the same way if it had been him. All in all, the incident has certainly brought a lot of attention to the Oscars, but for all the wrong reasons.
