Smith got tricked by a parody account \u2014 again \u2014 and Kevin Durant laughed at him for it. <\/p>\n<p>On Monday\u2019s episode of \u201cFirst Take\u201d, Smith cited reports as saying that things with James Harden and the Nets reached a breaking point when Kyrie Irving called him washed up. <\/p>\n<p>This \u201cscoop\u201d came from the parody account Ballsack Sports, and Smith had already <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/espn\/espn-fooled-ballsack-sports-kendrick-perkins-stephen-smith.html\">incorrectly cited the same \u201creport\u201d in early March<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDamn steve,\u201d Durant responded to a clip of the ESPN host falling for the fake report. \u201cGot ya ass.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Durant and Smith have a long, testy history with each other, dating back to 2015 when Durant was on the Thunder and accused Smith of lying about linking him to the Lakers. Smith for falling for a Ballsack Sports \u201creport\u201d.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>In fairness to Smith, the Ballsack Sports account has hoodwinked numerous on-air personalities and outlets into citing its fake <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> as real. <\/p>\n<p>The proprietor of the account, a 24-year-old from Ohio named Matt who has not publicized his last name, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/twitter\/ballsack-sports-twitter-troll-nba-quotes-media.html\">told the website Awful Announcing in February<\/a> that \u201cI wanted to start Ballsack Sports because I wanted to rile up as many people as possible under the most obscenely obvious satirical name. I thought I could do it.
