Farfetch will initially focus on the Bergdorf website and mobile <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Sources told The Post that Neiman Marcus has recently explored a sale of Bergdorf Goodman. Arpels \u2014 were in advanced talks to launch a joint e-commerce platform.<\/p>\n<p>Neiman Marcus chief executive, Geoffroy Van Raemdonck said in a statement, \u201cJos\u00e9 and the entire Farfetch team have built a best-in-class <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> platform and are the ideal partner to help us grow Bergdorf Goodman to be an even stronger global digital luxury retailer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But some Neiman Marcus staffers and industry experts believe the investment will lay the groundwork for Farfetch to eventually acquire Neiman Marcus Group from its current investors, Pimco, Davidson Kempner Capital Management and Sixth Street.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNobody believes that Farfetch has something so unique that it will be a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> changer,\u201d one source close to Neiman Marcus told The Post. \u201cBut perhaps this is a way to trim costs in technology, let Farfetch learn more about us and then eventually become the owner.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Current Neiman Marcus employees said the deal caught them by surprise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a dramatic change from what we\u2019ve been hearing on how well we\u2019ve been doing,\u201d The source said. \u201cWhy do we need to leverage Farfetch and it\u2019s platform?
