The report says this is \u201cunlikely\u201d to be a cryptocurrency and instead more of a digital currency specifically for its platform and users.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine something similar to V-bucks for <em>Fortnite<\/em>\u00a0or Robux in the kid\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> <em>Roblox<\/em>. This would allow Meta to introduce several payment systems,\u00a0\u201csocial tokens\u201d or \u201creputation tokens,\u201d and more than the company can control itself. These are hugely popular for the two games mentioned above and would be a giant step for Zuckerburg\u2019s Metaverse plans.<\/p>\n<p>While Facebook\u2019s Diem cryptocurrency project is dead, its ambitions with Blockchain products and digital currencies are still high. We already know Meta plans on testing the option to share NFTs on the social network, with NFT groups and even the option for minting NFTs, so some type of currency makes sense.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about \u201cZuck Bucks\u201d by The Verge, a Meta spokesperson had this to say:\u00a0<em>\u201cWe continuously consider new product innovations for people, businesses, and creators.
