The nine departures included the exit of WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar, who was expected to leave the company, along Warner Bros. chief Ann Sarnoff and HBO Max <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> manager Andy Forssell.<\/p>\n<p>Sources told The Post that David Zaslav, new CEO of the combined company \u2014 dubbed Warner Bros. Discovery \u2014 is expected to take a scalpel to the business in the coming months after he takes the reins on Monday. <\/p>\n<p>Sources said Zaslav is expected to get into the weeds and be very \u201chands-on\u201d as CEO. Discovery. <\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Discovery did not comment.<\/p>\n<p>Already, Zaslav\u2019s grip on the company is tightening as the new CEO has more direct reports. <\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Discovery rolled out a new structure, with 10 execs reporting to Zaslav, including HBO and HBO Max chief content officer Casey Bloys; Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich; CNN chairman and CEO Chris Licht; and JB Perrette, CEO and president of Warner Bros. Discovery global streaming and interactive entertainment. <\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s changes have roiled the ranks at WarnerMedia, according to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/paranoia-felt-warnermedia-staff-amid-005348540.html?guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&amp;guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAM8yrNM4Z22c6_y50KT6WCeTC76W3aB2MxOcKVrcxW24IN7XGm8kY_ljqnovto2Mbta2TB3an4ngZBvO6WiIVu2eO5reY5Vr5Jd5KQFCHlnVjKrlurRdhF8w1o62pj1uFdTHhu6U_z5vzS46LwSHiNqkbptXzC3VhqQKDA951dzX\">The Wrap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never seen such paranoia. It\u2019s bad, it\u2019s crazy,\u201d a Warner Bros. source told the publication. \u201cThese people are palpably nervous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The source said pandemic isolation has only made things worse: \u201cThese people have been working at home for two years. Discovery has said it plans to combine the two services, which would make some back-office jobs duplicative, for example. <\/p>\n<p>The deal, which is expected to close as early as Friday, marks the second time in the last five years that WarnerMedia, home to HBO, CNN and Warner Bros., has had a new owner. WarnerMedia, then known as Time Warner, was acquired by AT&amp;T in 2018 and it has since endured massive layoffs and restructuring. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Hollywood insiders told The Post they hoped Zaslav has the \u201cstomach\u201d to spend on big-budget films and TV shows to fuel company growth while in cost-cutting mode.
