Since that time, the president has gone on to make several BTC buys totaling 1,801 BTC as of January \u2014 roughly $77 million at the time of publication.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2022-04\/992e29a6-98d4-4bd9-b624-f4653406f925.jpeg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Bitcoin Beach. Photo by Jack Farren.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A survey from the Salvadoran Chamber of Commerce released in March showed that only 14% of respondents said they had transacted in BTC since El Salvador\u2019s Bitcoin Law went into effect, with more than 90% of companies suggesting that Bitcoin adoption had little impact on sales.
