But instead of a still image, it\u2019s a video that gets saved to your Photos library. Screen recordings are great for capturing errors or bugs in action, making tutorial videos, and more. Keep in mind that you can\u2019t take a screen recording while mirroring your iPhone\u2019s screen to another display. Otherwise, everything on the screen gets captured, including notifications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <strong><em>How to Screenshot on an iPhone 13<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Enable_the_%E2%80%9CScreen_Recording%E2%80%9D_Button_First\"><\/span>Enable the \u201cScreen Recording\u201d Button First<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To take a screen recording on your iPhone 13, you\u2019ll need to use a special \u201cScreen Recording\u201d button in Control Center that is disabled by default. But if you pressed and held the Screen Recording button, you\u2019ll see a special pop-up menu. To turn on microphone recording, tap the microphone icon until it turns red and says \u201cMicrophone On\u201d beneath it.
