Amber began by announcing plans to \u201cgo offline for the next several weeks\u201d in order to focus on the legal proceedings, which will take place in Fairfax County, Virginia starting on Monday. She continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cJohnny is suing me for an op-ed I wrote in the Washington Post, in which I recounted my experience of violence and domestic abuse. I never named him, rather I wrote about the price women pay for speaking against men in power. According to <em>E! <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a><\/em>, he claims that Amber\u2019s op-ed includes \u201cfalse allegations\u201d against him and \u201cdepends on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.\u201d However, it is important to note that there was no mention of the actor in the publication. Heard\u2019s attorney said in a statement at the time:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis frivolous action is just the latest of Johnny Depp\u2019s repeated efforts to silence Amber Heard. She will not be silenced.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So she countersued her former partner for $100 million in 2020, alleging that he had affected her career by interfering with her endorsements and acting gigs just because of the statements she made in the article. They\u2019ve since filed to have each other\u2019s defamation case thrown out, but both are continuing forward.<\/p>\n<p>Dozens of A-listers are set to testify during the trial \u2013 including <strong>James Franco<\/strong>, <strong>Elon Musk<\/strong>, <strong>Paul Bettany<\/strong>, and <strong>Ellen Barkin<\/strong>. Representatives for <strong>Disney<\/strong>, <strong>Warner Bros<\/strong>, <strong>WME<\/strong>, <strong>ACLU<\/strong>, and the <strong>Los Angeles Police Department<\/strong> are also on board to speak.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear how the trial will go at this time. However, it is good to mention that Johnny lost his UK libel case against <em>The Sun<\/em> over a piece that labeled him a \u201cwife beater.\u201d A judge ended up siding with the tabloid since the de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion was \u201csubstantially true.\u201d So who knows what will happen in the end here!
