And after losing his 2020 court case in UK against The Sun \u2014 over its de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion of Depp as a \u201cwife beater\u201d \u2014 the actor withdrew from his role in the Harry Potter spin-off \u201cFantastic Beasts,\u201d apparently at the behest of Warner Bros.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-nypost-medium-post\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"322\" height=\"483\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/heard.jpg?w=322\" alt=\"Amber Heard\" class=\"wp-image-21848680\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/heard.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=644 644w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/heard.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=483 483w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/heard.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=322 322w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/heard.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=161 161w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/heard.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 322px) 100vw, 322px\"\/><figcaption>The star-studded witness list for the Fairfax County trial includes everyone from Elon Musk to James Franco and the warring ex-couple themselves.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Neil Mockford\/GC Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Unlike the case in the UK, which had fewer witnesses but where the judge ruled that Depp had physically abused Heard, the case in Virginia has a lengthy witness list and is expected to last six weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Jury selection in the case starts Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Heard has claimed that Depp was always the aggressor\u00a0and any physical response from her was to defend herself, while the actor has accused his \u201csociopathic\u201d ex-wife of being the perpetrator of the violence that marred their marriage.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, Heard announced on Instagram that she will be off <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> while in Virginia for the trial, adding: \u201cI have always maintained a love for Johnny and it brings me great pain to have to live out the details of our past life together in front of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both Heard and Depp are expected to take the stand \u2014 although it was not immediately clear if Depp will attend the trial.<\/p>\n<p>Heard\u2019s former lover Elon Musk, actor James Franco, \u201cWandaVision\u201d star Paul Bettany, actress Ellen Barkin, representatives from Disney and Warner Bros. as well as the American Civil Liberties Union and the Los Angeles Police Department are among those expected to testify. Some will likely testify remotely.<\/p>\n<p>Two LAPD officer who responded to the ex-couple\u2019s house in May 2016 for a domestic disturbance are supposed to take the stand and will play body-camera footage from the scene that day, according to insiders.<\/p>\n<p>A person familiar with Heard\u2019s case said to there will likely be \u201cmore doctors and psychiatrists, more pictures, more audio, more video and more documents showing there was abuse\u201d than at the UK trial.<\/p>\n<p>Heard\u2019s 1,530-item exhibit list includes a\u00a0text exchange\u00a0between Depp and Paul Bettany, in which Depp writes: \u201cLet\u2019s burn Amber!!! \u2026 Let\u2019s drown her before we burn her!!! It may be why both of them keep fighting it out and not letting it go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A spokeswoman for Heard told The Post that \u201cthe UK High Court of Justice has already found that Mr. Depp engaged in at least 12 acts of domestic abuse against Amber in his libel suit against the London\u00a0Sun. You might say that suggests that possibly he\u2019s telling the truth. The perception is \u2018Why would anyone do this unless what\u2019s being said about him is untrue,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cOthers would say he\u2019s desperate and has no choice to follow through.
