sidewalk in Hamlin,\u00a0Texas, last week, just missing two women who had been taking a smoke break outside moments earlier, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Two female police dispatchers were smoking cigarettes while standing on the sidewalk outside the police department on Wednesday, Hamlin Police Chief Bobby Evans said.<\/p>\n<p>CCTV footage shows that moments after the women head back inside, a Tesla speeds onto the sidewalk and crashes alongside the building.<\/p>\n<p>Evans told\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ktxs.com\/news\/local\/video-tesla-takes-out-store-front-pillars-narrowly-misses-hamlin-police-dispatchers\">KTXS-TV<\/a>\u00a0that the driver had fallen asleep as he was coming into Hamlin.<\/p>\n<p>The driver, who was not im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely identified, hit the corner of the city hall building and knocked down the awning pillars of five store fronts, Evans said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
