Discovery CEO David Zaslav meeting CNN anchors after merger&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav is rushing to meet employees across the newly created <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> giant amid fears of widespread layoffs \u2014 and festering anger over ex-CNN boss Jeff Zucker\u2019s ouster.<\/p>\n<p>Zaslav, who led Discovery, home to Animal Planet, TLC and HGTV, is projected to unearth at least $3 billion in synergies in 2023 from the deal that closed on Friday \u2014 and media watchers have pinpointed CNN and streaming as areas for cutting at the newly acquired WarnerMedia. <\/p>\n<p>According to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/news\/scoop-discovery-ceo-david-zaslav-to-meet-with-cnns-dc-bureau-anchors-and-reporters-wary-of-merger\/\">Mediaite<\/a>, staffers at CNN\u2019s DC bureau, which is home to anchors like Jake T<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Studios lot in Burbank, Calif.<\/p>\n<p>Shares of Warner Bros. Discovery began trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol \u201cWBD\u201d on Monday, opening at $24.08 a share. <\/p>\n<p>In early-day trading, the company\u2019s stock surged 7.5% juiced by an upgrade by Evercore Group. The firm upgraded the stock from \u201cIn-line\u201d to \u201cOutperform\u201d and announced a $40 price target.<\/p>\n<p>Evercore analyst Vijay Jayant said that combined firm is now the second-largest media company after Disney in  terms of revenue.
