And I can assure you it was not my intention. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wish I could have that tweet back. The focus should have been on Dwayne \u2014 who he was as a person, a husband, a friend and so much more. I wanted to apologize to Dwayne\u2019s family, his friends, the players in the NFL and offer my condolences to everyone close to Dwayne.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, when breaking the news that Haskins had died after being struck by a dump truck on a highway in South Florida, Schefter\u2019s tweet discussed the quarterback\u2019s professional struggles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDwayne Haskins, a standout at Ohio State before struggling to catch on with Washington and Pittsburgh in the NFL, died this morning when he got hit by a car in South Florida, per his agent Cedric Saunders. After his outstanding career at Ohio State, which led him to become a first round draft pick, most recently Dwayne <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>reciated the opportunity that the Steelers had given him. And he was responding to it. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day when he left practice, he would bump fists with head coach Mike Tomlin, [former] <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> manager Kevin Colbert and team president Art Rooney \u2014 which was his way of showing that he was grateful to be a member of the organization.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>Schefter continued to praise Haskins\u2019 work ethic within the Steelers organization, and commitment to community service work. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDwayne Haskins was beloved by his teammates in the NFL community, as the outpouring of support from over the weekend showed,\u201d Schefter said. \u201cHe was beloved because of his smile, his attitude, his work ethic, his growth and the man he had turned himself into.
