It also comes after star anchor Chris Cuomo was fired for his involvement advising his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, as he faced a sexual harassment scandal.<\/p>\n<p>The fledgling streaming network has pushed for big names to draw people to the service, including hiring former Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> anchor Chris Wallace.<\/p>\n<p>CNN+ first started streaming content on March 29, though there were some technical hiccups. The $5.99-per-month sub<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion service wasn\u2019t available on Roku until Monday, and it remains offline for those with Android TV.<\/p>\n<p>The miniscule audience, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/04\/12\/cnn-plus-low-viewership-numbers-warner-bros-discovery.html\">which was first reported by CNBC<\/a>, does not bode well for the channel\u2019s future, particularly after the network poured in an estimated $250 million to launch and market the service.<\/p>\n<p>By contrast, CNN\u2019s cable channel brings in an average of 773,000 daily viewers, which is well behind pack leader Fox News Channel and second-place MSNBC.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/cnn-streaming-viewers-01.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"David Zaslav, the president and chief executive officer of the newly formed company Warner Bros. The network planned to invest $1 billion in the streaming service over the next four years, but that seems less likely given the service\u2019s paltry numbers so far.<\/p>\n<p>The minimal viewership is a far cry from initial projections provided to network executives.<\/p>\n<p>The network expected that CNN+ would net some 2 million subscribers in the US during the first year of operation.<\/p>\n<p>By year four, the service was projected to count between 15 million and 18 million subscribers.<\/p>\n<p>CNN+ was promoted with a marketing blitz touting the acquisitions of erstwhile stars from rival networks, including Wallace, Kasey Hunt, Alison Roman and Stanley Tucci. <\/p>\n<p>The fate of CNN+ likely rests in the hands of David Zaslav, the CEO and president of Warner Bros.
