Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> the cosmos.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, Artemis 3 will bring humans to the moon with the first woman and person of color to reach the lunar surface on board.<\/p>\n<p>The crew will touch down near the moon\u2019s south pole, which is understood to have\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/earthsky.org\/space\/artemis1-our-return-to-moon\/\">large amounts of ice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The astronauts will need protection from the ruthlessness temperatures of space as they traverse the moon for the first time since the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>In a new\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=AwUvh9sluOA\">video<\/a>\u00a0published by NASA, engineers are shown developing new spacesuits that make a walk on the moon a walk in the park.<\/p>\n<p>On eight-hour spacewalks, heat generated by astronauts\u2019 bodies is a factor that must be accounted for.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center;
