And in the days following the procedure, she has continued to share pictures (above, inset) and videos about her recovery and showing herself all bandaged up \u2013 which has apparently led to some criticism from her followers. So in order to be as \u201copen and transparent\u201d as possible, Ireland took to <strong>TikTok<\/strong> on Wednesday to defend her decision to undergo the procedure. She began:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cY\u2019all are such a riot. Let\u2019s have a little talk. Either you\u2019re going to get mad at people, who aren\u2019t open and transparent about the work they\u2019ve had done to themselves. Or, you\u2019re going to get mad at people for getting work done to themselves. So with that in mind, Ireland noted that she never uses filters on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> nor had \u201chad no other modifications done to my body or face\u201d \u2013 not even lip or facial fillers despite what some social media users may think. However, Alec Baldwin\u2019s daughter made it clear that there is nothing \u201cwrong\u201d if someone does have it.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, she opted to go for FaceTite because she has always been insecure about the \u201cstubborn pocket of fat and extra skin\u201d underneath her chin. Ireland, who had been open about her struggles with body image over the years, shared:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe reason I had it done was because I had this very stubborn pocket of fat and extra skin under my face. And before you say, \u2018Why don\u2019t you just diet and workout and not be a lazy bitch,\u2019 it doesn\u2019t work like that. When I had an array of eating disorders in my life and I was scary skinny, I still had this chin, and it was even more prominent when I was skinnier. As I\u2019ve gained weight and as I\u2019ve aged, it hasn\u2019t gone away at all, it\u2019s only become worse and worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Revealing that she\u2019s \u201cterrified\u201d of anesthesia and going under the knife, Ireland argued that this was the \u201cmost age appropriate and minimally invasive option.\u201d As for those who\u2019ve slammed her for getting FaceTite done at 26 years old, she reminded everyone she\u2019s \u201cnot underage\u201d and is a \u201cconsenting adult who made this choice.\u201d And at the end of the day, she \u201ccouldn\u2019t be happier\u201d about her decision:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI don\u2019t plan on getting anything else done. I am grateful for the body I have and I wouldn\u2019t change anything else about myself. This is something that really, really, really bothered me my whole life and I decided to do something about it. So would you rather I got this done and lied to you all about it, or can we just have a little fun here and stay out of other people\u2019s business?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Well said!
