In what could very well be the most damning testimony yet, Dr. Anderson said she observed \u201cmultiple\u201d small bruises on Heard\u2019s face at an in-person meeting, and described the pair as engaging in \u201cmutual abuse\u201d over the course of their tumultuous marriage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Amber Makes Shocking New Claim That Johnny \u2018Violated\u2019 Her With A Bottle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When asked if there was \u201cviolence from Mr. Depp toward Amber,\u201d Anderson replied:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYes, you\u2019re right. He had been well controlled, I think, for almost, I don\u2019t know, 20, 30 years. Both were victims of abuse in their homes, but I thought he had been well controlled for decades. And then with Ms. Heard he was triggered, and they engaged in what I saw as mutual abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>There you have it: \u201cmutual abuse.\u201d As in, they were both abusive toward each other.<\/p>\n<p>However, the therapist went on to note that Heard tended to be the one who would initiate the fights in order to \u201ckeep [Johnny] with her\u201d because \u201cabandonment was her worst nightmare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Describing the actress\u2019 style of talking as \u201cjackhammer\u201d and \u201crapid fire\u201d and that Depp was overwhelmed and had trouble keeping up during the sessions, she explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt was a point of pride to [Heard] if she felt disrespected to initiate a fight.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dr. Anderson admitted she was less sure of when the <em>Pirates of the Caribbean<\/em> star might have initiated confrontations, adding that Heard once told her:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf he was going to leave her to deescalate [a] fight, she would strike him to keep him there. She would rather be in a fight to keep him there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"highlight\">Wow\u2026<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019ll be interesting to see where the chips fall from here. While Dr. Anderson seemed to suggest Amber was more of the instigator, the term \u201cmutual abuse\u201d alone could be the final nail in Johnny\u2019s coffin, seeing as this whole case is to prove Heard was lying about Depp being abusive toward her. But perhaps it\u2019s more about how the picture she painted was about one-sided abuse when, according to this testimony, it wasn\u2019t.
