Then, his voice and name appeared in a recent teaser for &#8220;Picard&#8221; season 3, confirming that he will reprise his role as Geordi La Forge alongside other returning cast members from &#8220;Star Trek: The Next Generation.&#8221; Now comes the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> that the &#8220;Roots&#8221; and &#8220;Reading Rainbow&#8221; alum\u00a0is joining the cast of the Starz <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> &#8220;Blindspotting.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrap.com\/levar-burton-season-2-of-blindspotting-starz\/\">The Wrap<\/a>, Burton\u00a0is among several names who will appear in the show&#8217;s upcoming second season.\u00a0Burton, Katlynn Simone Smith, Tamera Tomakili, and Tim Chantarangsu will feature as recurring characters, while\u00a0hip-hop artists E-40, P-Lo, and Too $hort will guest star as themselves.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Blindspotting&#8221; is a spin-off of the 2018 film of the same name,\u00a0directed by Carlos L\u00f3pez Estrada and written by and starring Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs. The show centers on Ashley (Jasmine Cephas Jones), the girlfriend of Casal&#8217;s character, Miles, and the mother of his son, who is left to fend for herself after Miles is sent to prison.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Blindspotting&#8221; premiered last June, with\u00a0Casal and Diggs acting as showrunners. Diggs \u2014 who will voice Sebastian the crab in Disney&#8217;s live-action &#8220;The Little Mermaid&#8221;\u00a0movie \u2014 also lent his voice to the animated series &#8220;Star Trek: Prodigy&#8221; last year. So he already had a connection to the &#8220;Star Trek&#8221; franchise even before Burton jumped starships over to &#8220;Blindspotting.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>More LeVar Burton is always a good thing, so if you haven&#8217;t already been keeping up with &#8220;Blindspotting,&#8221; his addition to the show may be a good incentive to tune in. &#8220;Blindspotting&#8221; also stars\u00a0Jaylen Barron, Candace Nicholas-Lippman, Benjamin Earl Turner, and Atticus Woodward, with Casal and Helen Hunt in recurring roles.
