Some add extra battery life too. Here\u2019s why you should try one out.<\/p>\n<p>A VR counterweight sounds puzzling at first: If you feel the Quest or Quest 2 is too heavy and uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, why would you add more weight to it? But the secret is that the discomfort mostly comes from having too much weight on one part of your head (the front, where the screen is) that isn\u2019t balanced properly, which leads to increased pressure on your face. With balance achieved, the weight distribution is spread more evenly around your head, with pressure more on the top of your head where it\u2019s not nearly as uncomfortable.<\/p>\n<p>One early solution to this problem with the original Oculus Quest was the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/vrbalance.net\/\">VR Balance<\/a>, which <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/vrscout.com\/news\/oculus-quest-comfort-counterweight-vr-balance\/\">emerged<\/a> as a Kickstarter project in late 2019, and it delivered on its promise to create a comfortable weight for the headset. We\u2019ve used it and are very h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y with it, and we imagine similar counterweights will also work well. You can still buy the latest version of the VR balance on its website for around $30. It works with the Quest and Quest 2 headsets. Rebuff Reality sells a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B09VBS9DNZ\/?tag=hotoge-20\">similar headset weight<\/a> through Amazon for about $35.<\/p>\n<div class=\"product-box \">\n<div class=\"product-img product-img-noaward\">\n<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" aria-hidden=\"true\" tabindex=\"-1\" role=\"presentation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B09VBS9DNZ?tag=hotoge-20&amp;linkCode=ogi&amp;th=1&amp;psc=1\" onclick=\"fbq('track', 'Buy Button'); if (fb_t_convert){fb_t_convert();}\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/m.media-amazon.com\/images\/I\/21EfRidfkYL._SL160_.jpg\" height=\"147px\" alt=\"\" role=\"presentation\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><br \/>\n<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Or, if you want to get more sophisticated, you can do more with the extra weight at the back of your head. Several firms have shipped battery backs for the Quest <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> that also serve as counterweights. One of the most popular is the official <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B09CZ4QV5S\/?tag=hotoge-20\">Quest 2 Elite Strap with Battery<\/a>, although it\u2019s a pricey solution at around $109. There are <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B09L5VQH68\/?tag=hotoge-20\">cheaper battery counterweight solutions<\/a> on Amazon, but we\u2019ve found it\u2019s best to go with a known first-party accessory whenever possible.<\/p>\n<p>Whichever weight you choose, once you strap it on and dive back into virtual reality, your face and neck will thank you.
