\n New Yorkers did it first.<\/p>\n

A Massachusetts hotline set up to enforce coronavirus safety guidelines instead received profanity, fake reports and porn from residents fed up with the rules \u2014 similar to what happ<\/a>ened in April when New York City launched a similar effort.<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t take long for things to go downhill for Gov. Charlie Baker\u2019s compliance hotline, according to MassLive.com.<\/p>\n

In just a matter of hours, there was a picture of a penis from an account dubbed, \u201cGood German,\u201d missives slamming the hotline as a \u201crat line,\u201d complaints about \u201cunmasked dogs\u201d and gripes about Baker\u2019s lack of a mask during news<\/a> conferences, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n

Overall, the bogus messages amounted to dozens out of more than 900 reports.<\/p>\n

A similar effort in the five boroughs earlier this year saw an influx of crank complaints including \u201cd\u2013k pics,\u201d people flipping the bird, photos of extended middle fingers and Mayor Bill de Blasio dropping the Staten Island groundhog, along with news coverage of him going to the gym.<\/p>\n

One user sent the message, \u201cWe will fight this tyrannical overreach!\u201d to the service and got an automated message that in part said, \u201cHello, and thank you for texting NYC311.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
