Discovery as it looks to cut costs and reorganize the company, sources told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>Warner Bros. Discovery, which formed last week out of the merger between Discovery and Warner<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a>, is in the process of shoring up at least $3 billion in cost savings in 2023, and it\u2019s focusing on CNN+. <\/p>\n<p>As part of its review of CNN+, which has roughly 150,000 subscribers, WBD is suspending all external marketing spend, according to a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/discovery-cnn-plus-marketing-layoffs-jobs-b088c03c-b202-4756-8f5f-e64ee77b5095.html\">report from Axios<\/a> titled \u201cCNN+ looks doomed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The publication said CNN\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/cnn-new-streaming-service-30775bc4-2d25-44fd-a491-3a53ad4b61af.html\">original plan to become profitable in four years<\/a> by investing $1 billion in the service is being \u201cknee-c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed,\u201d citing plans to eliminate high-level positions across WarnerMedia. Andrew Cuomo, how to dodge his own sexual harassment accusations. Discovery CEO David Zaslav is looking for at least $3 billion in cost savings across the company in 2023.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Zucker was replaced with Chris Licht, an\u00a0executive producer with stints at CBS\u2019s \u201cThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert, \u201cCBS This Morning\u201d and MSNBC\u2019s\u00a0\u201cMorning Joe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He starts the job on May 1, and is expected to focus CNN\u2019s reporting more on hard news than opinion-based programming, sources told ThePost. <\/p>\n<p>Aside from <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a> cost-cutting, WBD CEO David Zaslav has been vocal about combining its various streaming services in one place and building it around HBO Max, a fact that could jeopardize continued investment in CNN+, source told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>Under previous ownership, CNN+ execs were hoping to attract 2 million subscribers in the first year and 15 million to 18 million over four years,<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/cnn-plus-cuts-warner-brothers-discovery-1be0ac3a-6952-4af0-b8e2-03dd6ae0839c.html\"> Axios said<\/a>.
