Alex Padilla.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cElon Musk is pushing Tesla\u2019s defective Full Self-Driving <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>, and it\u2019s threatening people across the country,\u201d according to O\u2019Dowd. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government continues to allow Tesla to put unregulated, dangerous, and defective software on the street in the hands of 60,000 untrained drivers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Dowd added: \u201cThis is a public safety threat and Congress must take im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>te action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Post has reached out to Tesla seeking comment.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/tesla-23-1.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"O'Dowd said he wants to &quot;make computers safe for humanity&quot; and that his main issue is banning Full Self-Driving cars made by Tesla.\" class=\"wp-image-21987077\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/tesla-23-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/tesla-23-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/tesla-23-1.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>O\u2019Dowd said he wants to \u201cmake computers safe for humanity\u201d and that his main issue is banning Full Self-Driving cars made by Tesla.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/04\/19\/dan-odowd-senate-bid-elon-musk-00026195\">O\u2019Dowd told POLITICO<\/a> that his would be a one-issue campaign, and that he declined to say if he truly intended on winning. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am going to win votes,\u201d he told POLITICO. \u201cAnd every vote I win is someone who thinks my issue is more important than [these] other issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Observers believe his only motivation is to use First Amendment protections afforded to political candidates in order to make claims about Tesla products that would not get any television air time if he were a regular private citizen.<\/p>\n<p>Padilla, the incumbent Democrat who is heavily favored to hold onto the seat, was picked by California Gov. The CEO admitted last year that the beta version of FSD was \u201cnot great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Tesla was ordered by a German court to buy back a $76,000 Model 3 from a disgruntled customer who said the autopilot function was so bad that it mimicked a \u201cdrunk novice driver.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In January, Tesla recalled 54,000 cars to disable an FSD feature that allowed vehicles to roll slowly through intersections without stopping.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
