session on Friday as they continued to digest comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell about the prospect for rapidly rising interest rates. The action had the broad indexes revisiting their mid-March lows:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"articleList\">\n<li>\n      The Dow Jones Industrial Average<br \/>\n        DJIA,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210598065\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-2.82%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       fell 981.36 points (or 2.8%) to close at 33,811.40, its lowest closing level since March 15. The Dow fell 1.9% for the week; it is now down 7% for 2022. (All price changes in this article exclude dividends.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n      The S&amp;P 500<br \/>\n        SPX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210599714\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-2.77%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       was down 2.8% on Friday and also hit its lowest closing level since March 15. The U.S. benchmark index fell 2.8% for the week and is now down 10.4% for 2022.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n      The Nasdaq Composite Index<br \/>\n        COMP,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210598365\/realtime\" class=\"negative\">-2.55%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       fell 2.5% on Friday, to its lowest level since March 14. The Nasdaq declined 3.8% for the week.
