His troops have run out of fuel, gone short on supplies, and some soldiers have even left the battlefield rather than kill their brother Slavs.\u00a0Instead of dividing NATO and capturing Kyiv, Putin has united the world behind an unlikely Ukrainian hero, the former-comic-turned-president Volodymyr Zelensky.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Being caught in a checkmate is an unconscionable position for the judo-loving masterspy. Unable to change the dynamics on the battlefield or accept defeat, he is likely mulling his nuclear trump card option.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, on April 15, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/zelenskyy-world-be-ready-for-possibility-putin-uses-nuclear-weapons\">Zelensky announced that the world should \u201cbe ready\u201d<\/a> for the possibility that Putin will use nuclear weapons in Ukraine \u2014 a concern shared by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/zelenskyy-world-be-ready-for-possibility-putin-uses-nuclear-weapons\">CIA Director William Burns<\/a>. On Wednesday, Russia tested a new intercontinental missile, nicknamed Satan II, which, Putin said, should \u201cforce all who are trying to threaten our country in the heat of frenzied, aggressive rhetoric to think twice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Back during the Yugoslavian War, Putin and his Russian <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> Staff first developed a \u201climited nuclear war\u201d plan called the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.simonandschuster.com\/books\/Putins-Playbook\/Rebekah-Koffler\/9781684510030\">\u201cescalate-to-de-escalate\u201d strategy<\/a>. Designed by the Soviets at the height of the Cold War, if switched on, it would launch Russia\u2019s entire nuclear arsenal directly at this country. When he first attacked Ukraine\u00a0on Feb. 24, he warned that the countries who intervened would face \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/world\/russia-launches-attacks-ukraine-as-putin-warns-countries-who-interfere-consequences-you-have-never-seen\">consequences you have never seen<\/a>.\u201d Three days later, he raised the status of Russia\u2019s nuclear forces to \u201cspecial combat readiness,\u201d the nuclear posture that Moscow maintains today.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/topol-m-misslie.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"Inside the opened silo of a Russian intercontinental ballistic Topol-M missile.
