href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>r abandoned his plane mid-flight and parachuted to safety last year as a publicity stunt \u2014 pretending that it was all a terrifying accident for a few million views, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.<\/p>\n<p>Trevor Jacob uploaded what he purported to be a death-defying parachute escape from his airplane before it crashed in the Los Padres National Forest in California when the propeller allegedly stopped working during a flight on Nov. 24.<\/p>\n<p>On April 11, the FAA told Jacob he is banned from flying for operating the single-engine aircraft in a \u201ccareless or reckless manner so as to endanger the life or property of another,\u201d according to a letter <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/04\/20\/us\/trevor-jacob-youtube-plane-crash.html\">obtained by The New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou demonstrated a lack of care, judgment and responsibility by choosing to jump out of an aircraft solely so you could record the footage of the crash,\u201d the agency said. \u201cYour egregious and intentional actions on these dates indicate that you presently lack the degree of care, judgment and responsibility required of a certificate holder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jacob, a former Olympic snowboarder, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=G2Rojfd4QHI&amp;ab_channel=TrevorJacob\">said in a video<\/a> update to his over 134,000 subscribers that he would not address the controversy, \u201cper my attorney.\u201d It was his first video uploaded since the plane crash video.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vbYszLNZxhM\">original video<\/a>, which was uploaded to YouTube on Dec. 24, Jacob seems to panic mid-flight as his engine stops working.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoly s\u2013t. The video cuts to Jacob filming himself with a selfie stack rapidly free-falling before panning back to the plane \u2014 now without a pilot \u2013 as it begins to veer on its own crash course.<\/p>\n<p>Jacob hits the ground hard in the wilderness, landing in some bushes, video shows. I\u2019m just kind of taking in what happened,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why I always freaking fly with a parachute.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later in the video, he located the mangled plane, which appears totaled beyond repair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you higher power for watching over me,\u201d he says, before taking off looking for help.
