Forensic Psychologist&#8217;s Shocking Testimony&#8230;<br \/>\n&#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\" class=\"text\">\nAnother shrink has taken the stand in <strong>Johnny Depp<\/strong>\u2019s defamation trial \u2014 and this time, the testimony was all about what\u2019s going on inside <strong>Amber Heard<\/strong>\u2019s head.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, a forensic psychologist called by Depp\u2019s legal team testified that she diagnosed the <em>Aquaman<\/em> star with borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder. Not only that, she then <em>disputed<\/em> Amber\u2019s claims that she suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder.<\/p>\n<p>The psychologist, <strong>Dr.<\/strong> <b>Shannon Curry<\/b>, told the court that she based her assessments in part on two psychological tests administered on Heard and a pair of sessions that lasted a total of 12 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Amber Caught In A Lie! Makeup Brand DESTROYS Claim She Used Their Product To Cover Up Bruises From Johnny!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Curry noted that people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) have a fear of abandonment that triggers \u201cextreme\u201d behavior. She testified:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAll of it is like pistons of an engine, kind of firing off and igniting one another. But when somebody is afraid of being abandoned, by their partner or by anybody else in their environment and they have this disorder, they\u2019ll make desperate attacks to prevent that from h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening. And those desperate attempts could be physical aggression, it could be threatening, it could be harming themselves, but these are behaviors that are very extreme and very concerning to the people around them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Curry went on to explain that the rage people with BPD can develop tend to push their partners away from them \u2014 which triggers the feelings of abandonment that terrifies them. She noted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOver time, the anger \u2014 the explosive anger \u2014 that they show when somebody is needing space, or when somebody is really not doing anything wrong, because a lot of times they read into things that they perceive as being a slight to them or being somebody intending to harm them that actually isn\u2019t happening. They\u2019ll exaggerate it, and they\u2019ll explode. They\u2019ll react in this heightened manner that is just exhausting for their partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, that sounds\u2026 a lot like what we\u2019ve heard about this relationship!<\/p>\n<p>The psychologist continued, saying a person with BPD may even resort to violence, both literal and \u201cadministrative,\u201d in an attempt to prevent the abandonment they fear. Pay close attention to the explanation of the latter:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOne of the most common tactics that they\u2019ll use is actually physically assaulting and then getting harmed themselves, but mostly, we call this \u2018administrative violence.\u2019 Essentially this is saying that they\u2019ll make threats using the legal system. So they might say that they are going to file a restraining order or claim abuse, or they might do these things to essentially try to keep their partner from leaving in the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Whoa! She\u2019s straight up giving a clinical explanation for the hard-to-fathom theory that Amber would make it all up!<\/p>\n<p>As you likely know, Heard filed for a restraining order against Depp in Los Angeles in 2016, accusing him of domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Amber Heard Diagnosed w\/Borderline &amp; Histrionic Personality Disorders by Psychologist\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z42OrcLD8oQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Curry later said that borderline and histrionic personality disorder can manifest as \u201ctwo sides of the same coin,\u201d adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWith histrionic personality disorder, that underlying drive is to always be the center of attention, because if you don\u2019t have that attention on you, it feels similarly to borderline personality disorder: You feel pretty empty, like you don\u2019t have that sense of being or value.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Curry reached these diagnoses with the help of a 567-question test she administered called the MMPI-2. Heard apparently completed the test on her iPad, and Curry said that she interpreted the results in a 25-page outline.<\/p>\n<p>Using another structured interview known as a CAPS-5, Curry found that Heard \u201cgrossly exaggerated\u201d supposed symptoms of PTSD \u2014 a disorder the actress claimed to have suffered from due to Depp\u2019s alleged abuse. Curry flatly stated Heard \u201cdid not have\u201d PTSD, adding of the disorder:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt is one of the most easily faked disorders. Most of us know what it feels like to feel anxious, and a lot of people have seen war <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> and movies that depict somebody having PTSD\u2026 Ms. Heard did not have PTSD. And there were also pretty significant indications that she was grossly exaggerating symptoms of PTSD when asked about them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But how could Dr. Curry tell she was faking? Apparently Heard claimed to have had 19 of the core 20 symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, something which im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely signaled to the doctor a purposeful exaggeration. She testified:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThat\u2019s not typical of even somebody with the most disabling form of PTSD.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hmmm\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Heard\u2019s attorney, <b>Elaine Bredehoft<\/b>, started her cross-examination of Curry after the lunch recess. During cross, Bredehoft got her to admit she was retained after dinner and drinks with Depp\u2019s legal team at his home \u2014 to make her testimony seem frivolous, we suppose? Bredehoft also noted that Curry\u2019s assessment is not in line with what Heard\u2019s own doctors would say \u2014 no kidding.<\/p>\n<p>Curry did acknowledge she\u2019s not <em>board certified<\/em> in clinical and forensic psychology but is a <em>licensed<\/em> clinical psychologist. What\u2019s the distinction? Board certification is, according to the American Board of Clinical Psychology, a voluntary process one can apply for to recognize their \u201cspecialty level standing\u201d in the field. It is apparently not a requirement to practice.<\/p>\n<p>Thoughts on this testimony?
