He rose to fame in the \u201990s before being placed on the FBI\u2019s Top 10 Most Wanted List and convicted in 2011 of sexually assaulting two teen girls he married, claiming they were his \u201cspiritual\u201d wives.<\/p>\n<p>In 2007, Jeffs attempted to hang himself in his Utah jail cell and was force-fed at an Arizona jail in 2009. After his conviction, he was put into a medically-induced coma after fasting in a Texas prison and remains behind bars in the Lone Star State to this day. <\/p>\n<p>Several of Jeffs\u2019 children and followers have spoken out since his arrest in 2006, but a new wave of accusers \u2014 including some who were closest with him \u2014 are speaking out in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/peacocktv.com\/\">Peacock<\/a>\u2018s new\u00a0documentary, \u201c<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=M7xzDGp41l8\">Preaching Evil: A Wife on the Run with Warren Jeffs<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with The Post, Jeffson described his father\u2019s abuse and threats of eternal damnation as \u201cemotional\u201d and \u201cmanipulative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWarren Jeffs controlled everything from the things you eat, to the things you wear and \u2014 if he could \u2014 even the things you think,\u201d Jeffson told The Post. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"687\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Vicki-Thompson-and-Warren-Jeffs-Credit_-Peacock.jpg?w=687\" alt=\"Vicki Thomson and Warren Jeffs\" class=\"wp-image-22045312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Vicki-Thompson-and-Warren-Jeffs-Credit_-Peacock.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=687 687w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Vicki-Thompson-and-Warren-Jeffs-Credit_-Peacock.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=343 343w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Vicki-Thompson-and-Warren-Jeffs-Credit_-Peacock.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 797w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 687px) 100vw, 687px\"\/><figcaption>Vicki Thompson is shown with Warren Jeffs. <\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Peacock<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>His first memory is from the heartbreaking and confusing moment Jeffs separated the then-3-year-old and his siblings from their mothers in Hildale, Utah, to move them to his complex in Texas. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wondered why I was being separated from my mom and why she was crying,\u201d Jeffson recently <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.insider.com\/son-of-polygamous-cult-leader-warren-jeffs-describes-finding-freedom-2022-4\">told Insider<\/a>. \u201cI was very young. He and nearly 500 other children were taken from the compound, but most were eventually returned. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember those Texas rangers and the SWATs coming in with rifles and everything,\u201d he <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/son-polygamous-cult-leader-warren-jeffs-tell-all-true-crime\">told Fox News in an interview<\/a>. \u201cI didn\u2019t know if I was going to survive. We had been taught that these people wanted to eliminate us. He met singer-songwriter Yolanda Nosakhare, 21,\u00a0on Bumble and proposed to her in October 2021. <\/p>\n<p>Vicki eventually moved out of her son\u2019s home and fell in love with police officer Aaron Thompson, 50, who had previous knowledge of her harrowing circumstances after spending time as Jeffs\u2019 personal prison guard and as a lead investigator in several FLDS cases. The two married and recently welcomed their first child, Jayden. <\/p>\n<p>Jeffson\u2019s sister Sarah, meanwhile, is graduating from high school this year. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very happy and moving forward,\u201d Jeffson told The Post. He remains very close with the few siblings who have also left the church but said he has been completely cut off from most of his family who \u201cunfortunately\u201d remained and believe he has been \u201cbrainwashed\u201d and \u201ccontrolled by the devil.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To honor his new path, he even changed his last name from Jeffs to Jeffson. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am moving away from the Jeffs agenda,\u201d he told The Post. \u201cI am blazing my own path and making my own life for myself while at the same time keeping that Jeffs name in my last name because I do want that last name to be made good again.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
