pocket $978 million once Tesla CEO Elon Musk completes his $44 billion takeover of the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> platform.<\/p>\n<p>Parag Agrawal, the current chief executive of the San Francisco-based tech giant, will go home with a $42 million payday as a result of the transaction, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/twitter-ceo-set-receive-42-million-if-terminated-after-musk-deal-2022-04-25\/\">Reuters is reporting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dorsey owns 2.4% of the company, which translates into 18,042,428 shares, according to SEC filings. <\/p>\n<p>Twitter\u2019s board of directors accepted Musk\u2019s offer to buy the company at $54.20 per share.<\/p>\n<p>Agrawal, the former chief <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> officer who succeeded Dorsey as CEO late last year, would be due to receive a payout of $42 million while another Twitter executive, CFO Ned Segal, would go home with a $25.5 million pay package.<\/p>\n<p>Agrawal and Segal\u2019s payouts would be triggered by a so-called \u201cchange in control\u201d clause in their contracts which kicks in if either of them is terminated within 12 Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In SEC filings, Musk has stated that he did not have confidence in Twitter\u2019s current management \u2014 which likely means Agrawal, Segal, and other top executives will be out once ownership changes hands.<\/p>\n<p>Research firm Equilar estimated Agrawal\u2019s payout by factoring in a year\u2019s worth of his base salary plus accelerated vesting of all equity awards, an Equilar spokesperson told Reuters, based on Musk\u2019s offering price of $54.20 per share and terms in the company\u2019s recent proxy statement.<\/p>\n<p>Agrawal, previously Twitter\u2019s chief technology officer, was named CEO in November. Solving for the problem of it being a company however, Elon is the singular solution I trust.
