After a Long Long Island man allegedly stabbed his wife then tried to kill himself, their home resembled the aftermath of a horror film. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlood was everywhere,\u201d Victoria Vallone, operations director with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/biorecovery.com\/services\/biohazard-cleanup\/?kw=&amp;cpn=15492054395&amp;campaignid=15492054395&amp;adgroupid=130842478539&amp;creative=566991329926&amp;matchtype=&amp;network=g&amp;device=c&amp;keyword=&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjwpImTBhCmARIsAKr58czkNttewg23qkWvn6hkxYQzC9U9iyv3bD6uSA_WhYE7S-8RJdiNA4caAv7tEALw_wcB\">Bio Recovery<\/a>, a New York-based company that cleans up death scenes, told The Post. \u201cWhen people survive an attempted murder, they run all around the house.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By the time Vallone\u2019s crew rolled in \u2014 referred, as usual, by an insurance company \u2014 both parties had been taken to the hospital by EMS. But plenty of blood lingered. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t ask for too many details,\u201d Vallone said. \u201cI just assure relatives that we will go im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely and take care of it. We arrive in hazmat suits and remove all the biological material. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe use an ATP monitor, which measures bacteria on direct surfaces \u2014\u00a0blood or bio material might not be visible to the eye but it needs to be cleaned. We remove carpeting. [In the above instance] a lot of the floors had tiling, which is good for keeping blood from seeping through. A shotgun [suicide] is the hardest to clean up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Danilack recalls an incident from just before Christmas when the 30-something son of elderly parents shot himself in the basement of their home. As is the norm, a crew of crime-scene cleaners arrived in hazmat gear and employed proprietary cleaning products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had to pick up a piece of the individual\u2019s head and bone fragments from behind a storage box,\u201d he recalled. \u201cThe floor was concrete. We cleaned it and sanded it and sealed it so that odors and stains stayed inside. We get there within an hour. It\u2019s fresh and sensitive and people are crying, but the cleaning has to be dealt with by a licensed company. The last thing we want to do is allow the family members to do it themselves. It\u2019s illegal for unlicensed people to dispose of regulated medical waste \u2014 there can be dangerous drugs like fentanyl or HIV in the blood \u2014 and it is not the way they want to remember loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Concurred Danilack: \u201cYou walk inside and have immediate sympathy for the family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"m_5105044325234835126gmail-m_-4845650351100541487gmail-block-a995228c-3cce-4130-91f0-35ce35a1b52c\">When absolutely necessary, Vallone said, \u201cwe do demolition. We get all biohazard material out of there, even if we have to knock down walls. When a body decomposes on the floor, you can smell it down the block. All the gasses are out. Vallone (who now mostly handles things from the office) remembers early jobs where she was \u201cgetting emotional, [while] my colleagues had ear buds in and stayed completely focused.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Formerly employed in the production department of J.Crew, she recalled her first crime scene: \u201cA son slit his mother\u2019s throat in the kitchen, dragged her through the house to the bathtub and then turned himself in. She laid there for days, unable to get up \u2014\u00a0and then her dog got hungry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe dog was eating at her,\u201d Vallone remembered. \u201cHe dragged around pieces of her arteries. The woman passed away in the hospital.
