The company\u2019s mission statement elaborates a bit more on this.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLamar and Free\u2019s new purpose at pgLang embodies something deeply personal to them,\u201d it reads in part. \u201cpgLang is at service to creators and projects that selflessly speak with, and for, the shared experiences that connect us all\u2026In this overstimulated time, we are focused on cultivating raw expression from grassroots partnerships.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"p-message_pane_message__message_label c-message_kit__labels c-message_kit__labels--light\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__gutter\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__gutter__right\" role=\"presentation\" data-qa=\"message_content\">\n<div class=\"c-message_kit__blocks c-message_kit__blocks--rich_text\">\n<div class=\"c-message__message_blocks c-message__message_blocks--rich_text\" data-qa=\"message-text\">\n<div class=\"p-block_kit_renderer\" data-qa=\"block-kit-renderer\">\n<div class=\"p-block_kit_renderer__block_wrapper p-block_kit_renderer__block_wrapper--first\">\n<div class=\"p-rich_text_block\" dir=\"auto\">\n<div class=\"p-rich_text_section\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"css-1dbjc4n\">\nThe first official signee to the company was Kendrick Lamar\u2019s cousin Baby Keem, and in March they signed their second act: a California r<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er named Tanna Leone. Leone dropped off his debut album\u00a0<em>Sleepy Soldier<\/em> on Thursday (April 28). In an interview with\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.complex.com\/music\/tanna-leonne-interview-sleepy-soldier\/interview-2\"><em>Complex,<\/em> <\/a>Leone elaborated more on why he decided to partner up with pgLang.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s beyond the fact that it\u2019s artists involved,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s really like a family. It\u2019s its own ecosystem and it really supports the creative. It really supports and respects everyone\u2019s mind in the team, because everybody\u2019s there for a reason. So that makes it very special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cIt was perfect for me, because outside of music, I\u2019m creative in other spaces and I\u2019m skilled in other spaces. It took me a while to realize I wanted to pursue music, so on that journey, I started getting good at other things. That alone is why being a part of a company like pgLang is so attractive to a multifaceted, multi-hyphenated, creative artist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kendrick Lamar recently relied on pgLang to announce his new album\u00a0<em>Mr. Morale &amp; The Big Steppers.<\/em> He initially tweeted out a link to his website,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/oklama.com\/\">oklama.com<\/a>, which contained a Michael Jordan-inspired press release from\u00a0pgLang\u00a0that detailed the project.
