WOW!<br \/>\n&#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div itemprop=\"articleBody\" class=\"text\">\nIs <strong>Amber Heard<\/strong> about to be canceled?<\/p>\n<p>That seems to be what <strong>Johnny Depp<\/strong> fans are hoping, according to an online petition to fire the actress from <em>Aquaman 2<\/em> amid the actor\u2019s ongoing defamation trial.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/p\/dc-entertainment-remove-amber-heard-from-aquaman-2\"><strong>change.org<\/strong><\/a> petition, which was created in 2020, has reached over 2 million signatures as the exes battle it out in court once again. Creator <strong>Jeanne Larson<\/strong> wrote in the de<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">script<\/a>ion:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cDo the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from <em>Aquaman 2<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The campaign\u2019s goal is 3 million signatures, upon which fans hope that the actress will be stopped from reprising her role as Princess Mera in the <strong>James Wan<\/strong>-directed superhero sequel \u2014 which wouldn\u2019t be easy, seeing as the <strong>Warner Bros.<\/strong> film wrapped shooting in January.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Amber Apologized To Johnny A Year After First Abuse Claim<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Depp devotee said she started the campaign because she believes the 36-year-old has \u201cbeen exposed as a domestic abuser\u201d by the 58-year-old actor, adding that she didn\u2019t want Amber\u2019s alleged behavior \u201cglamorized\u201d on camera.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign creator went on to list the purported \u201cmany examples of domestic abuse,\u201d like when Heard allegedly punched her then-husband in the face (she denies a punch but admits to hitting him), and the alleged incident where the <em>Aquaman<\/em> star severed Depp\u2019s fingertip by throwing a vodka bottle at him. Larson wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAbout the incident during which she shattered the bones in Johnny Depp\u2019s finger and nearly severed it, causing Depp to require surgery to reattach and repair it. He will bear the scar from that for the rest of his life.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She went on to write:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMen are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognized, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s safe to say fans view the petition as restitution for Depp being dropped by Disney in his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fifth installment of the <em>Pirates of the Caribbean<\/em> franchise.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, Amber initially dismissed the petition, and went as far as to suggest Depp\u2019s team \u201cpaid\u201d for it, scoffing in a statement:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cPaid rumors and paid campaigns on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> don\u2019t dictate [casting decisions] because they have no basis in reality. Only the fans actually made \u2018Aquaman\u2019 and \u2018Aquaman 2\u2019 happen. I\u2019m excited to get started next year.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Amber is still set to appear in the DC Comics film, which is scheduled for a March 2023 release. Meanwhile, she\u2019s set to take the stand in the Fairfax, Virginia trial later in the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Depp is seeking at least $50 million in compensation for Amber\u2019s claims that he abused her during their relationship \u2014 claims he insists are false. Heard\u2019s attorneys are seeking $100 million from Depp for abuse and other damages; they\u2019ve accused the actor of physically and sexually assaulting Heard, and allege his legal team falsely accused her of fabricating the abuse claims.<\/p>\n<p>As for whether WB listens to this campaign\u2026 that all depends on how the trial pans out.
